Terms and Conditions

Effective January 1, 2026

B&R Lafayette Concrete Construction, lafayetteconcretemasonry.com, hello@lafayetteconcretemasonry.com

Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of this website and any work you hire B&R Lafayette Concrete Construction to do. By using the site, asking for an estimate or booking a job with us, you agree to them.

If a written estimate or contract we give you for a specific job says something different from these terms, that written document controls for that job. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the site or book work through it.

What we do

We're a concrete contractor in Lafayette, LA. We build driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, pool decks, garage floors, slabs, footings, foundations, retaining walls and decorative and stamped concrete, and we also do concrete cutting and foundation raising. You can see the full list of services and the cities we work in from the home page.

Descriptions on this site are general. They explain how the work usually goes, but every yard, slab and soil condition is different, so the details of your job are set by the estimate and contract for it. To learn more about who we are, visit our About page.

Estimates and pricing

Estimates are free, on site and come with no obligation to hire us. Your estimate is based on what we can see that day, including the size and thickness of the slab, how much old concrete has to come out, what the ground underneath needs before we pour, how easy it is to get trucks and equipment to the spot, and the finish you choose.

Some conditions only show up once the old slab is out or the ground is dug, such as soft or wet soil, buried debris, roots or old footings. If we find something like that, we'll stop, show you what we found and explain what it changes before we do any extra work or charge for it. No price on this website is an offer, and the only price that binds us is the one in your written estimate or contract.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We schedule your job once you've accepted the estimate. Concrete depends on the weather, so we may move a pour if rain is coming or the heat would weaken the surface, because pouring in bad conditions leads to problems you'd live with for years. We'll tell you as soon as we know a date needs to change.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us as early as you can. Your written estimate or contract states any deposit and whether any part of it can be refunded, and materials already ordered for your job or work already done may be charged.

Your part of the job

You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area and to let us know about anything underground we should avoid, such as sprinkler lines, septic parts or private utility lines. You're responsible for knowing where your property lines are and for any rules your homeowners association sets.

Some work needs a permit, and some doesn't. If you're unsure whether your job does, ask your city or parish permit office before work starts.

Payment

You agree to pay the amounts in your written estimate or contract, on the schedule it sets. If it calls for a deposit, we'll start ordering materials and booking your date once it's paid.

If a payment is late, we may pause the work until it's settled. Louisiana law may give contractors the right to a lien on the property for unpaid work, and we'll use that only as a last resort.

Concrete cracks, and what our guarantee covers

We stand behind our work, and your satisfaction is guaranteed. Any specific warranty on your job, including what it covers and for how long, is written in your estimate or contract.

Concrete shrinks as it cures, which is the time it needs to harden before you walk or drive on it, so small hairline cracks are normal and aren't a defect. We cut control joints, which are planned grooves that give the slab a straight place to crack instead of a random one, but no contractor can promise a slab will never crack.

Our guarantee doesn't cover damage from driving or walking on new concrete before we say it's ready, heavier loads than the slab was built for, de-icing salts or harsh chemicals, tree roots, flooding, ground movement or settling outside the area we prepared, or repairs and changes made by someone else. Color and texture can vary a little from batch to batch and from samples, especially on stamped and decorative work. Beyond what your written warranty says, we make no other promises, spoken or implied, to the extent the law allows.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim connected to a job is limited to what you paid us for that job. We aren't responsible for indirect losses, such as lost use of your property, lost income or costs of finding somewhere else to park while the concrete cures.

We're fully licensed and insured, and nothing in these terms limits responsibility the law doesn't allow us to limit, such as for harm we cause on purpose or through gross negligence.

Using this website

The information on this site is general and is given as it is. We work to keep it accurate, but it isn't engineering advice for your property, and we don't promise the site will always be available or free of errors.

The text, photos and design on this site belong to B&R Lafayette Concrete Construction. Please don't copy or reuse them without our written permission. Links to outside sites are there for your convenience, and we aren't responsible for what's on them.

If we disagree

If something about your job isn't right, call us first at (337) 216-1997. Most problems get fixed fastest when we come back out and look at the work together.

If we can't settle it that way, we both agree to try mediation in good faith before going to court. Any lawsuit will be filed in the courts serving Lafayette Parish, Louisiana.

Governing law

These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana. If a court finds any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time and will post the new version on this page. Changes apply from the date they're posted, and they don't change a written contract you've already signed with us.
